Again, thank you! You are making this process easy. I have worked with a couple of web site designers that gave me so few parameters I felt lost. When I asked the questions I have asked you, I got answers like, "It can be whatever you want it to be." That is not helpful to a novice! I am not a designer. Needless to say, my frustration level has been high and we have spent money that never ended up with a functional web site. I was so happy to hear WinePress was doing web site design and knew that the process would work well and be successful in the end.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Wow! Wow! Wow! and again I say Wow!
This is creative genius! I absolutely love it!
I could not have envisioned a more perfect design!
Exactly how excited am I? See above!
Please convey my deepest and most sincere thanks to whomever is responsible for the cover design. This makes all of the hours of anxiety I've spent wondering how the project might come together, worth every second!

I've received numerous comments on the quality of the book production. Some pretty experienced authors and booksellers say it's easily the highest quality self-published book they've seen, and they'd be proud if all traditional publishers produced that sort of quality on a consistent basis. |

My book has just arrived and I am absolutely thrilled!
I must congratulate all at WinePress on an excellent production and thank you most sincerely for the great care you took over it.
I think I was a very demanding author but all my questions and desires were met promptly and kindly!
I am praying that A Christian in London and Paris will be a blessing to all who read it.
Many, many, many thanks again to all at WinePress.

I want to commend your publishing business and specifically tell you what top-notch service I received especially from my project manager and publicist. My PM made the book publishing process seem more like a game than work in that every facet was fun and the enjoyable kind of challenge.
Also, you should pass along the praise to the typesetter and especially the artist who designed the cover because not one single bookstore owner, fellow author, or colleague has guessed that this book was self published. In fact, several people have told me it looks better than some published by traditional publishers.
Getting emails from your publicist is like waking up Christmas morning. She keeps sending more good news and has earned every penny I spent on national publicity.
Last, the minister at Lubbock, Texas's huge First United Methodist Church, is planning on meeting with me soon to discuss publishing a book with Pleasant Word so I am now doing P.R. for you--pro bono!

Pleasant Word has been a joy to work with. It may have taken years to get my writing into print but with Winepress/Pleasant Word I have been able to get my message out and this has opened doors of ministry to fathers (my ministry "target") this year.
I have been very happy with the quality of the artwork on the covers of my publications. They have been very helpful in the editing process and in the marketing of the publications. I have been very pleased with my relationship with Pleasant Word!

The wait is finally over...Praise God!!
The books are awesome! The free 30 books and my first order arrived yesterday. I can't wait to start filling orders. I used the CoCaptain function and noticed that books have already been ordered by customers through Pleasant Word as well.
Thank you so much for everything. Please tell your work group, THANK YOU! I am also very pleased with the Weblog that was made available to Blue Ribbon customers, absolutely FREE of charge! Incredible! Thank you for your expertise with the Weblog! Pleasant Word has class! The customer service is excellent and the technology is far superior to anything I envisioned.
I have been and will continue to recommend Pleasant Word / Winepress to others. It is my goal to purchase a marketing package sometime in the very near future. With the quality you have already demonstrated, I know I will not be disappointed. Pleasant Word, THANK YOU!

AUTHOR SAYS WINEPRESS PROVIDED BOOST TO LAND MULTIBOOK CONTRACT WITH BETHANY HOUSE
The path to publication can be difficult and frightening to maneuver with numerous pitfalls along the way. Dr. J. Ron Eaker, who is looking forward to the release of his new book by one of the major Christian publishing houses this summer, says it’s a road he may have chosen to pass up if it hadn’t been for WinePress Publishing.
“As an unknown author without a platform, it’s easy to get discouraged when talking to the acquisition editors of traditional publishing houses,” says Eaker. “I knew the information I had learned through my years of medical practice as an OB/GYN would be very beneficial to women. I had a passion to share it but was frustrated by the publishing process.”
Eaker says he would not have considered self-publishing if he hadn’t been impressed by the professionalism of WinePress staff. “As a physician, I have high expectations and am used to working with professionals. I wanted my book to not only look professional but I expected to work with an editor who would polish the manuscript.”
In 2005, Eaker chose Winepress to publish Holy Hormones for him. Impressed by the stellar sales of Holy Hormones, Bethany House Publishing Company offered Eakers a two book contract. Fat Proof Your Family: Gods Way to Forming Healthy Habits for Life will be released in July and un updated version of Holy Hormones is scheduled for 2008.
Eaker says what distinguishes WinePress from other self-publishing companies is a commitment to produce a quality product. “It amazed me how many self-publishers are out there and, unfortunately, not all produce a quality product. This tarnishes industry just like a bad doctor can infect an entire group.”
Eaker says WinePress worked with him every step of the way to produce a top notch product that rivals anything put out by a traditional publishing house. When the book was released, he also choose WinePress to help with publicity. “They got us hooked up with a wonderful publicist who was able to open doors for me. A true professional, she also explained that publicity is a partnership and that it was my responsibility to take advantage of the opportunities.”
With the release of his new book just months away, Eaker says he is grateful for the experience he’s had with publishing. “If it hadn’t been for WinePress, I would have never had the motivation or inspiration to put on paper what God has laid on my heart. They helped me to navigate a difficult industry.” |

I like hunting. Entering the publishing world is like entering a tailless mountain wilderness. A guide who knows the terrain, reads tracks, and wisely interprets the elements is essential to survival and success. The WinePress Publishing Group operates as a professional outfitter. They provided the talents to lead me through this mysterious environment.
Marketing professionals embraced my story’s Christ-centered message in spite of the obvious challenges: an unknown author, a story that appeals to a male audience in a female dominated market, and a work that promotes unpopular American heritage. Today, thanks to WinePress' tenacity, I’m being asked for interviews, the story edifies both genders, and readers are encouraged to be no-nonsense Christians in an America that has lost her way, vision, and purpose.
WinePress engaged in the culture war of ideas, well done! Too many publishers choose to be safe spectators rather than commit to the fight and eternal victory. |

I thank God for the "I'm Sorry" letters I received from quite a few major royalty publishers. Without them I would not have pursued "self-publishing" and been led to the WinePress Publishing Group.
From my first contact with the WinePress Solutions Advisor, I knew I was in the right place to achieve the purpose for writing my book.
As I worked through the step by step process as outlined by my awesome project manager, I received the personal and professional attention I would need to see this project through to becoming a God honoring book that would help others confront and overcome their fears-HIS way. It had taken a long time before I had allowed God to show me how to do so, and I so wanted others not to take as long!
Now with the completed product released and in hand, I am amazed at the beauty of it, and all the marketing tools and tips I have received from the publicity team. As I travel and speak, I know God has a plan for my book for such a time as this; and I am walking daily knowing it is truly all about Him and seeing lives reached one at a time.
This has been a rewarding experience from start to finish, and I have many more projects on my "idea list" for the future. WinePress Publishing Group will be the one that I chose to complete that list, and I encourage others to do the same. Don't participate in the recession, choose WinePress Publishing Group today.

Marilissa, Mike and I had a very positive experience at the EXPO. We were really impressed that Wine Press started our time at the EXPO by praying over their authors that we would make meaningful connections. For us, that prayer was answered. We met lots of people both exhibitors, authors, and those attending. Friday was our day to get the lay of the land and also to meet as many authors as we could. We had the most delightful and blessed time. Each author spoke some kind of blessing into our lives.
Saturday was our work day. Marilissa and I made a point of talking to and giving a toy snake to every child/parent that entered the front doors of the EXPO. We had to literally run after some but the blessing was ours. We met so many who were not only interested in the book but many who were encouraging to us personally in our quest to make known God's works.
We enjoyed both signings. We had a steady stream of people to talk with even though we did not sign a lot of books. You had prepared us well by telling us over and over that we were not there to sell books but to make meaningful connections. We really didn't feel disappointed.
I wanted to encourage you once again about your signs. We had our picture made in front of the sign outside the entrance. It was by far the best sign around. It really caught people's attention. As we told people where to find our book it was so easy to direct them because of the sign over the booth. Once again, IT WAS THE BEST! I was so proud to be a part of Wine Press.
The booth was amazing. The wood made it feel so inviting and warm. The coffee was the perfect touch to draw people. The booth was a marvelous idea and again the best booth that we saw, and I think that we visited them all!
As we traveled back home, we felt very satisfied that we had made the effort to attend. We knew we had obeyed what we heard God tell us to do. I was touched that you were so concerned for your authors that you took some of the books that were left and even loaded them in your personal luggage to take to the next conference where you thought they might sell.
Thank you for everything you did to prepare and inform us. Thank you for making Wine Press look so attractive and full of life! Your team gets an A plus.

I don’t even know where to begin.
I bless God for you and all of the WinePress staff. I was glad to meet you and many of the staff at ICRS 2008. I thank you for your hospitality and care. You prepared us so well for ICRS. Normally, the caffeine in a cup of coffee is all it takes to excite me, but you told us in advance to prepare to be overwhelmed.
You told us to ask God for ministry opportunities, especially with the vendors who could not leave their booths. You were absolutely right. I wound up praying for a few folks right at their booths and ministering in the Word to others. It was great.
On Wednesday of ICRS, I saw the booth of one of the other publishing companies that originally asked me to sign on with them. We-l-l-l-l-l, let me just say, though they are our brothers and sisters in Christ, the excellence that WinePress displayed on so many fronts was so far beyond that of the other company. I’m grateful that God led me to WinePress.
In walking around the convention center for three days, I saw many of the “big name” companies. I was so godly proud to be a part of WinePress. Those companies had nothing on WinePress in excellence.
The International Luncheon on Sunday was such a blessing, too. It gave me a greater perspective regarding the Body of Christ. I was trying to be at our own church service on Sunday, especially with our just obtaining a new church facility (originally listed at $700,000; God blessed us with it for free!) and the transitions therewith, but God led me to attend. I just sat and cried. It was wonderful.
I was so blessed by the people at ICRS, knowing that they are related to me in Christ. I was blessed by the fellowship with a few of our authors. We laughed together and prayed together. That was great.
I want to set up a little WinePress display with the authors’ books that were given to me every time that I have a book signing or display table. That’s how proud I am of WinePress.
Okay…I know. I’ve gone on enough. I just wanted to encourage you and say that what you are doing is wonderful. You have enriched my life.

I wanted to let you know that I did just finally sign a royalty contract with WND (World Net Daily). I negotiated several issues and in the end its a good deal. In any case, I wanted to inform you that I will sadly be leaving and cancelling our contract.
I want to very much thank you for your kindness and great service. I have very much enjoyed getting to work with you and chat over the past few years.
Pleasant word has been great and I am happy to recommend anyone else who you wish to put in contact with me.
Sincerely,

I have been so very impressed with the service and timely professionalism at WinePress. From my first conversation with my solutions advisor, to my talks with my project manager, I have felt nothing but welcomed, and listened to by the most capable of people.
This project was my first foray into publishing, requiring many questions being answered, and an abundance of grace being extended. I never felt a question was treated as unnecessary, and I never felt I was being hurried through decisions or any of the multitude of steps required in publishing a book.
There are so many parts I am thankful for but two stand out specifically. The first, and foremost, was that I had a very strict deadline for the book which I gave my solutions advisor on our very first conversation. Her guidelines as well as the energetic involvement of my project manager allowed my books to be in my hands on the exact date I needed them. Secondly I was very impressed with my final proofreader. My book had been looked at by countless people, yet the proofreader found several critical things that would have distracted my readers. I am so grateful for her attention to detail, and the excellence at which she does her job.
Finally, as a Christian author, I felt the highest level of attention was given to the finished product being of great quality not only to represent myself, and WinePress, but also as something that will bring honor and glory to God. Thank you all so much for my tremendous experience! |

Thank you WinePress Group crew,
When I first returned to Christ in March 2008 and felt God had asked me to use the writing skills I had been using in my industry for some 20 years, I felt that through circumstances He directed me to WinePress. I wanted a truly Christian organization to help me as I endeavored to do what God asked me to do. I am happy to report to you that my faith in His leadership has not been disappointed.
What we experienced at the booksellers convention in Denver confirmed that, when we follow His leadings, He does not make mistakes. Thank you for being there for us and for putting into practice what you preach. May God richly bless each and everyone of your staff is our prayer. |

Wanted you to know that I have appreciated the assistance I've received from my project manager and both editors. I'm grateful that your team suggested a "deep edit." I like how things have tracked and are turning out. Thus far, this "journey" with each of the team members has exceeded my expectations. What a wonderful surprise in today's world . . . even today's Christian world!
Again, thank you for your initial help and counsel.

I can't thank you enough for all you have done. I know you would say, "oh it's just my job," but you have done far and above what most people would do and I think that speaks for all at WinePress. It really is a quality place of business and integrity runs throughout the entire crew. I have especially appreciated the kindness and friendliness of everyone I have been involved with. Christianity...........really makes a difference doesn't it? |

Dear Winepress family,
In this season of Thanksgiving, I am very thankful for all that this family of professionals has done for me.
From the day that I sat at the Write To Publish conference in June of 2007 talking with Cecil Murphey and he pointed to you, and said that is the person you want to talk to. Everything has fallen into place just as I was told.
I immediately bought "Your Book In Print" and it has been as though I have had WinePress at my elbow every step of the way. When this is not your normal area of expertise having that tool to help you see the big picture is priceless. On November 20th I spoke to a group of healthcare professionals on the need for more people in the field to write and inform the public. Of course using the information I have learned from WinePress. People 85 and older are the fastest growing segment of the population and their care will have to become a focus in the future.
The book told me that you have to have a platform and be able to sell your own book. When I was writing Please Get To Know Me, I had a little sign I made that said "This isn't about you". This kept me on track and on message. The same message that I have professionally - care of the elderly. The platform was already there, it has just been expanded with books sales.
Many thanks to all the professionals who have helped me there at Pleasant Word. From producing the beautiful little book with my mother's picture on the cover, to the wonderful website your team put together and the ongoing work that the publicity department is doing for me.

"I was so bummed when my book Cracks in the Sidewalk went out of print. This collection of humorous poems for kids was a huge hit in the classroom and opened the doors to countless school visits. I bought remaining inventory from the publisher, but soon those copies were gone. Then I had a problem. Without 'Cracks' my school visits would be a disaster.
I had heard about WinePress Publishing and met some of their friendly staff people at a writers' conference. I gave WinePress a call and knew right away that this was the answer to my problem. In a very short time, my book was in the process of being republished. The people I worked with were helpful, professional, and kind. I received regular updates so I knew exactly what was going on all the time. The entire process was a positive experience and there were no unpleasant surprises. I never would have guessed that getting my book back in print could be so quick, easy, and affordable!
Whatever your publishing needs are, I highly recommend using WinePress. I promise that you will be pleased!"
Crystal Bowman's writing career began in 1990 as a lyricist for children's piano music. She began writing children's books in 1993 and has since written more than fifty books for children. She has written books for many popular children's series such as Little Blessings, BOZ the Bear, MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), I Can Read!, and is the sole author of the best selling holiday board book series published by Zonderkidz. She has also written two books of humorous poetry for children, three books for women, numerous magazine articles, Bible study materials, and educational resource books. Her books have been published by Zondervan, Tyndale, Baker, Standard, Cook, Eerdmans, and Focus on the Family. |

"I taught a workshop on subsidy publishing at the North Texas Christian Writers Conference last week, and I showed my PUGS book as an example, mentioning that you published it. Also brought some books that had been printed by other subsidy publishers. The difference in quality was AMAZINGLY noticeable! From cover design to interior layout to binding - you REALLY make a good impression! Thanks for making my book SHINE!"

"Self-publishing now can meet a full range of needs that royalty publishers can't meet, and this is wonderful because the royalty market continues to shrink in quest for blockbuster books.
The key questions are: How good is your book? How much can you afford to invest? How large is your market? How much risk do you want to take? I went to WinePress because I knew I had a very good book, but people wouldn't recognize a need for it until after they had read it or heard me speak on the topic. A 6 to 18% royalty on the net price wasn't enough to pay for all the advertising, marketing, speaking, and other forms of promotion that I needed to do. Since I anticipated significant sales and needed distribution through local bookstores, I was looking for all the strengths of a royalty publisher with a chance to make 30 to 80% of the retail price, depending on who sold the book. I found WinePress to be the best company to answer those needs. They are great to work with and have exceeded my expectations.
You might check out my www.eyewitnesstools.com website that shows my book, Eyewitness: The Life of Christ Told in One Story. The Media tab has audio book samples and promotional information on the book. WinePress did the video.
Nothing worthwhile is free in this world. Catalog listings with royalty publishers often die after the first year because neither the publisher nor the author could afford the advertising and promotion to make the book a success. With WinePress, you pay for everything, but you also get all the profit that results. And you only have to pay for the package and additional services that you judge affordable and practical.
Print on Demand lets you begin with a relatively low investment, test the market, and gather a little profit before taking higher risks for greater benefits. Since you own all rights and inventory, you're always free to sign with another publisher. I don't work for WinePress, but I do teach classes on the pros and cons of self-publishing."
Frank Ball is the author of the Eyewitness series. |

"I am thankful we published the book.
The publicity department is fantastic. They have done a great job of getting me and the book on many radio and TV stations. They have coached me on who the host is, and their approach, what to wear and key points. Everyone is positive and encouraging.
For ICRS the team had an informative conference call, then in Atlanta they were with us to make the conference a total success.
Thank you for their dedicated work and vision."
