Laura Shoemaker
Laura Shoemaker and her husband Jon live with their two boys in Cypress, Texas. Laura is a stay-at-home mother and has been a group leader for an internationally recognized Bible study for the past four years. She has also led several Bible studies and has spoken to various groups of women and teenagers.
She graduated from the University of New Orleans in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting then worked as a corporate accountant until the birth of her first son in May 1997. Laura and her family had several opportunities to reside overseas, where she became acquainted with many diverse people and cultures. Despite her adventures and accomplishments, Laura battled with identity for many years. She knew there was more to life than what she was experiencing, but she didn’t know how to obtain it. It wasn’t until God touched Laura’s life at the age of 31 that she began to be transformed into someone that she never thought she could be—a content and confident woman. Laura now has the wisdom and passion to help others discover their own inner beauty in Jesus Christ.
